CyberNow Labs to Train 10,000 Maryland IT Professionals in Cybersecurity, Cost-Free

Columbia, MD – October 7, 2024 – In partnership with the Maryland Department of Commerce, the Cybersecurity Association, the Technology Advancement Center, the Maryland Tech Council, the National Cryptologic Foundation, and many more -- CyberNow Labs launches #CyberTalentNow, a first-of-its-kind cybersecurity training sprint for Maryland cyber workforce development.

During CyberSecurity Awareness Month, the first 10,000 qualifying Maryland IT Professionals can enroll for cost-free training into one of CyberNow Labs’ live online CompTIA Security+ certification preparation programs, an 8-week course starting the first Monday of each month beginning in November. Live instructor-led sessions will be conducted Monday – Thursday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30 PM EDT. Virtual and in-person networking events will be organized throughout the program to facilitate professional networking opportunities.

CyberNow Labs’ President, Gabe Schrade emphasizes that #CyberTalentNow is more than just a security training course. “Training and networking 10,000 around the Security+ certification is a catalyst to organize collaboration between Maryland IT Professionals, industry, and government on something everyone understands and values.
